At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), ELEM Biotech, in collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), presented a “replicating heart” prototype.

“This is not the future—it is already a reality,” explains Mariano Vázquez, co-founder and CTO of ELEM Biotech, referring to the prototype. He emphasizes that this innovation is designed to improve the detection and treatment of heart disease by creating personalized, virtual representations of the heart. Built using the Alya Red technology developed with BSC, the prototype represents the first steps toward scalable, clinically relevant digital cardiac twins that ELEM Biotech is actively developing and commercializing.
